Candy Land
Death Valley’s canyons recoloured as if made of sugar: rock in candy pink and rose, washes of violet gravel, and skies of grape and lavender.
About this collection
These are the canyons of Death Valley, seen another way. In the edit, the desert’s browns and greys gave way to the colours of a sweet shop: the walls turned pink and rose, the gravel paths violet, and the shadows blue.
I wanted the landscape to feel less like a place than a confection, somewhere familiar made strange enough to look at again. Write here what the colours meant to you, or how you found them.
