Patrick Grogan Brown, photographer
Eleven collections so far, each its own body of work. Light is drawn across the Vegas Strip and mirrored out of the neon of the Haight; a Gothic cathedral is transformed by light, and Chinatown celebrates the Year of the Horse. San Francisco's cable cars climb their hills, Death Valley appears in bloom, in sugar colours and from high ground, and the coast brings boardwalks, beaches and the pelicans of the bay. About
I make photographs of people, places and animals, and in my own work I paint with light itself.
About this site
Through careful collaboration, Claude and I have built this site as a way to showcase collections of photos accumulated across the last year. Much like my life, this site is a work in progress. Often lost in the adventure, I forget the photos I have set out to take. I now find myself lost again in the adventure, this time one of my own making, a rotating web graphic for a site I didn’t know would exist a couple days ago. From generated text to incomplete collections, much of this site remains unfinished or left in the capable hands of Claude. All AI-generated imaging, from the background to the border of my rotating feature reel, is composed entirely of images captured by me.

Client Testimonials
A sentence or two from a client about what it was like to work with you and what they thought of the photographs.
A second client's words. Short and specific works best: what you made for them and what difference it made.
A third quote, ideally from a different kind of work, such as an event or a portrait session.
